The New Year’s  Eve show is a bargain when compared to the run Joel will have at MSG. The average price for the nine shows currently scheduled at the Garden starting in late January  is $579.

Joel is the biggest show of the holiday and is in a price category. For those looking for New Year’s Eve concerts, Britney Spears tickets for her show in Las Vegas is the second most expensive option. This show is part of Spears’ run at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino that feature shows more frequently than Joel’s upcoming Garden run.

The reason Joel is playing in Brooklyn and not the Garden is Phish’s longstanding New Year’s eve residency at Madison Square Garden. Phish tickets are just about half the price of Joel’s Brooklyn show.

Jill Scott will also be playing a show at Radio City Music Hall, which build upon New York City’s almost endless options for New Year’s Eve shows. Las Vegas, which also includes a Maroon 5 concert, is close behind for options.
