Avicii Announces 2014 World Tour
January 29, 2014
Last year Avicii took a major gamble dropping his brand new country-folk inspired album on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival; but that gamble paid off, BIG TIME! Looking to separate himself from being a one hit wonder with “Levels” Avicii took the last half hour of his Ultra set to bring out a band and singers to perform his never before heard music off his upcoming album “True.”
Avicii’s “True” has since gone on to smash records and became one of the biggest albums of the year debuting at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 in the Dance/Electronic Music category. Since its September 2013 release True has spawned some major hits such as “Wake Me Up,” “You Make Me,” “Hey Brother” and “Addicted to You.”
Recently Avicii announced his North American arena tour entitled #TRUETOUR in addition to him playing the festival circuit and making a return to headline Ultra once again. Avicii’s #TRUETOUR will take place with seven scheduled stops in major cities such as New York, Chicago, Washington DC and Toronto with more expected to be announced at a later date. Avicii tickets currently have an average price of $213 for those shows. The least expensive show on his #TRUETOUR is his May 17th show at Rogers Centre in Toronto which is going for $123 on average with the highest priced being the June 28th concert at the Barclays Center going for $291 with a Get-in of $44.
