Breaking down Jazz Tickets for the Jerry Sloan Banner Ceremony
January 30, 2014
This Friday vs Golden State, the Jazz will honor Jerry Sloan at halftime by raising a “1,223” banner signifying both his regular season and post-season victories. Sloan holds the NBA record for both most games coached for one team and most victories with one team. Overall, Sloan has spent 30 years with the Jazz as a scout, assistant coach, head coach and his current position of basketball advisor.
The average ticket price on the secondary market for this game is currently $77; 8% above the home average for Jazz tickets of $71. Since the news of the ceremony, ticket prices have been on a 21% trend upward. The game is the most expensive of January and 2nd priciest remaining game before the Jazz head into the All Star Break (The lone visit from the Heat is number 1). Despite the premium, the current cheapest ticket available is an affordable $25. Lower level tickets are available from $93. The Jazz are also expected to give out a Jerry Sloan themed giveaway as well.
