Katy Perry Promises ‘Magical’ Prismatic World Tour
January 8, 2014
After comfortably winning the chart battle against her nearest rival Lady Gaga last year, the former Mrs Russell Brand will now cement her status as the new Queen of Pop with the release of Katy Perry tickets for a ‘magical’ 2014 world tour entitled Prismatic.
The 29-year-old has so far only confirmed the UK leg which kicks off at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on May 7 and takes in Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield before wrapping up with a three-night stint at London’s O2 Arena between May 27 and 30.
But Perry, who performed 124 dates in 104 cities during her 2011/12 California Dreams world tour, has promised her army of Katy Kats that she will announce more international dates in the near future.
Described as less cartoonish than her previous live outing, the tour will feature a Reflection Section standing pit which will allow Perry to be closer than ever to her fans, while fresh from supporting Miley Cyrus on her Bangerz’ trek, Swedish duo Icona Pop will once again serve as support act.
Alongside all the singles from her current album, Prism (“Roar,” “Unconditionally,” “Dark Horse”), those with Katy Perry tickets should also expect to hear her record-tying run of five consecutive US number ones (“California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night”) and her early hits “I Kissed A Girl” and “Hot N’ Cold.”
The pop superstar recently boasted that Katy Perry tickets for the tour will be far more reasonably priced than those of her peers, a claim backed up by the fact that a limited view seat for Taylor Swift’s forthcoming London show is $87.55 compared to the $53.78 cost of a regular seat at Perry’s performance at Newcastle.
