Shania Twain's Calgary Stampede Date Is Her First Canadian Performance in 10 Years

Those already planning to purchase Calgary Stampede tickets received a pleasant surprise when it was announced that Canadian pop culture icon Shania Twain will be taking her talents to Calgary this summer. She is scheduled to perform on July 9th at the Scotiabank Saddledome. It will be her first live performance outside of Las Vegas in over 10 years. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 24 & are expected to sell out almost instantly. The face price is $79, and many wonder just how high tickets on the secondary market will climb.
While a Canadian performance is expected to be an entirely different monster; Shania Twain tickets during the crossover superstar's “Still The One” residency in Las Vegas currently average $250/ticket on the secondary market. Opening Night on December 1st, 2012 cost fans an average of $307/ticket. The March 23rd, 2013 date was the cheapest; costing fans an average of just $126/ticket.

Attendance wise, the November 30th - December 14th 2013 portion of the tour was most successful, drawing 30,966 fans. During this period, tickets averaged $244/each on the secondary market. Overall, the country mega-star has enjoyed 89% attendance during her Vegas stay.
