Wrestlemania Tickets Up 6% With Rumors Hulk Hogan Has Signed Contract With WWE

January 14, 2014

Rumors have been flying around more than a luchadore, and there are some reports, that Hulk Hogan has signed a contract with WWE. If that is the case, there is no doubt Hogan would be involved in Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans in one way or another on April 6th. An official announcement from Hogan or WWE has not yet been released, but an announcement or Hogan appearance on RAW or at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view could cause an immediate price increase in Wrestlemania tickets.

Wrestlemania tickets currently have an average price of $263 on the secondary market, with a $36 get-in price. Already prices are up 6% and will likely continue to rise in the coming months. However, both of those prices trail January’s big pay-per-view in Pittsburgh as Royal Rumble tickets have an average price of $350 and a get-in of $155. Since the Royal Rumble is still considered one of WWE’s “major” pay-per-views it is understandable that the excitement for Wrestlemania will grow after the results of the Rumble are known. After all, the main event at Wrestlemania pits the WWE World Heavyweight Champion against the Royal Rumble winner.

Hogan’s involvement in the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania would help the draw for WWE’s biggest event of the year become even bigger. It is unknown whether Hogan would be able to partake in a match, as reports say he would need to pass a detailed physical at his age, but even just an appearance from one of the greatest superstars in WWE history would help rope in some casual fans.

For those looking to purchase Wrestlemania tickets, now could be the best time buy before an official Hogan announcement, a Royal Rumble winner and the return of other legends such as The Undertaker could drive prices up in the next two months.
