Emo Forefathers Taking Back Sunday & The Used Hit The Road This Spring

February 3, 2014

Perhaps no year was more important to modern Emo music than 2002. Breakthrough artists such as Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, and New Found Glory enjoyed their biggest mainstream success during the calendar year and well-deserved recognition was finally to 90's independent label workhorses such as Saves The Day and The Get Up Kids.

2002 also saw the debut full length albums of Long Island's dual vocal specialists Taking Back Sunday and Utah's screamo outfit The Used. 12 years later the two remain as revered in the alternative rock community as they were during emo's hey-day. It should come to no surprise that many Taking Back Sunday tickets for their recently announced tour with the Used have already sold out.

The secondary market is fan's only option for the sold out dates and current average price for Taking Back Sunday and The Used tickets is $110.

The Ogden Theatre in Denver is currently the cheapest date of the tour, averaging $82/ticket. The sold-out Best Buy Theatre at the heart of Times Square in New York City is the priciest, with the average ticket costing $176. With over 300 tickets available on the secondary market for the pair of show's at the Best Buy Theater, the get-in price is currently just under double face value.
