The Miami Heat are riding high in their pursuit towards a third straight championship. They currently have the second best record in the east and only trail the Indiana Pacers by 1.5 games for first place in the East.
The next home game for the Heat is against the struggling New York Knicks tonight. The Knicks have been a huge disappointment thus far, but have the star power to be able to knock off the Heat if everything falls in place. The average ticket price for this game is $222 while the get in price for this game is $49. Heat tickets for a Knicks game used to be one of the most expensive games of the year, but as you will see shortly, that is simply not the case this year.
The next game that the Heat will play is March 1st against their in-state rivals the Orlando Magic. The average ticket price for this game is $242, only $14 less than the Knicks game, while the cheapest ticket that you can get is going to cost you $53. The next game for the Heat will be against the Charlotte Bobcats. The Bobcats are a potential playoff team this year, but have never been a major draw in terms of ticket prices. The average ticket for this game is $161while the cheapest ticket you can get is going to cost you $26.
The Heat do not play at home again until March 11th when they face the Washington Wizards. The Wizards are also a playoff team and with john Wall at the helm, they can certainly knock off the Heat on the road. The average ticket price for this game is currently $170 while the cheapest ticket that you can buy is only $35. Following the Wizards, the Heat will host the Brooklyn Nets. The average ticket price for this game is $261 while the cheapest ticket that you can get is $49.
So, tonight’s Knicks game is about as pricey as an Orlando Magic game, and cheaper than when their fellow New York team – the Nets – visit Miami. That must be a tough pill to swallow for many Knicks fans.
