Lady Antebellum's Take Me Downtown Tour Extended Through Summer
February 26, 2014
Just four months after giving birth to her first child, Hillary Scott will go back on the road with bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood following the release of Lady Antebellum tickets for the first leg of their North American ‘Take Me Downtown’ tour.
Named after the lead single from their recent chart-topping fourth studio album, Golden, the trio will kick off their second headlining arena tour at Southaven’s Lander’s Center on November 8 and will stop off at the likes of Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena on November 12, Rapid City’s Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on November 21 and Omaha’s CenturyLink Center on December 7 before winding up at the Peoria Civic Center on December 14.
Having sold over one million Lady Antebellum tickets and picked up a Billboard Touring Breakthrough Award with their previous 104-date Own The Night world tour, the Nashville outfit certainly have a lot to live up to. But Kelley recently revealed that the band are planning to go even ‘bigger and better’ this time around.
Supported by Tennessee singer-songwriter Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves, currently enjoying huge success with fourth album, Same Trailer Different Park, the seven-time Grammy winners will no doubt be keen to showcase the best from their recent chart-topping LP including the singles “Downtown” and “Goodbye Town.”
But alongside the likes of 2007 debut hit, “Love Don’t Live Here,” their first US Country number one, “I Run To You” and their two Billboard Top 10 hits, “Need You Now” and “Just A Kiss,” recent shows have also seen the group perform their own unique takes on the likes of Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven,” Sara Evans’ “A Little Bit Stronger” and The Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Women.”
Lady Antebellum tickets for the first batch of 17 dates are currently unavailable on TicketIQ. But be sure to keep checking back for the latest information on what promises to be one of the hottest country music tours of 2013.
