Robin Thicke to Perform During Dodgers Opening Weekend
February 19, 2014
As a stray from the usual post-game concert, the Dodgers plan to fill seats early with a Robin Thicke pre-game concert as they square off vs the division rival San Francisco Giants for a 1:10pm start on April 5th.
The “Blurred Lines” superstar will take the stage prior to him throwing out the ceremony first pitch during the team's opening weekend. Looking at ticket prices on the resale market, it'll be your 2nd cheapest opportunity to catch the son of Canadian TV star Alan Thicke live this year. Surprisingly, the cheapest Robin Thicke tickets of the year come March 4th at the Agganis Arena in Massachusetts. Those Dodgers tickets carry an average price of $53 compared to the $61 average of the concert/game combo. Robin's performance at the Houston Rodeo at Reliant Stadium is the 3rd cheapest at $74. The average ticket price for the remainder of his US tour is $101.
At the baseball side of things, the game is the 4th cheapest of 10 Dodgers/Giants meetings at Dodger Stadium and second cheapest of the opening series. Upper Deck tickets currently start at $12. Mezzanine tickets begin at $33, with the best valued seats being the Loge Box. If you plan on getting the best concert and game experience, your best bet is the Infield Box section. Those are the cheapest Field Level seats, currently starting at $25.
With last year's run to the post-season and a flurry of giveaways and promotions (including Snuggies, Fatheads & Old Timers Day), the Dodgers should continue to see success both on the field and in the stands this season.
