Only Two February Home Games to Grab Spurs Tickets

February 4, 2014

With a record of 35-13, the San Antonio Spurs are poised to make a run towards another title. Sadly, they will not be at home much in February for fans to take in the action.

In a yearly move by the NBA, the Spurs are only playing two home games in the month of February. Spurs fans will not see much of their beloved team at home because of the rodeo that is going on in their city. The first game they will play at home is the Detroit Pistons on February 26th. The Pistons are in rebuilding mode but they have several key players – Josh Smith, Brandon Jennings and Greg Monroe – that can help them go to the playoffs.  Now, usually when mediocre teams face a championship caliber team like the Spurs, ticket prices would go down. In this case, it is not. The average price for Spurs tickets to go see the Pistons will cost you $57.56.

The next and last home game the Spurs will play is on February 28th against the Charlotte Bobcats. The Bobcats are still in rebuilding mode and have not had a great season. With promising players such as Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Bobcats fans should be excited for the future. The average ticket price for this game is more expensive than the Detroit Pistons game and will cost you $67.25. So if you want to see the Spurs play the Bobcats, tickets are still available.

Even though the rodeo has taken over San Antonio, Spurs fans will not forget their beloved team. The Spurs home ticket prices in February are not bad and it would be great to see four potential future Hall of Famers play before they retire. Also, you can see coach Greg Popovich "entertaining" sideline reports, which is a lot of fun to watch.
