Previewing the 2014 Ultra Music Festival

March 5, 2014

Now that it is officially March we are just a few short days away from the single biggest festival of the year, that of course being Ultra Music Festival down in Miami. Ultra has become the end-all be-all of festivals with countless DJ’s and performers descending on its ground to play their music for a crowd of over 330,000 last year. However, unlike last year’s Ultra which was two weekends to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the festival this year the music festival will go back to being just one weekend. And regardless what you choose to do Ultra will be an amazing experience filled with great people and good vibes so be sure to get you Ultra Music Festival tickets before they run out.

Ultra

There are a few things that stand out about this years Ultra Music Festival which may not be common knowledge to the average fan. The first of which will be that the legendary Eric Prydz plans on presenting his mysterious new show HOLO on the main stage the first night and will also be playing again as Cirez D at his Ultra Ibiza stage on Sunday. This has been one of the biggest questions because no one is actually sure what he plans on doing there and if holograms are going involved or not. The second thing of note will be that Armin Van Buuren will be performing as his purist alter ego GAIA at his A State of Trance Stage.

Yesterday Ultra announced the third and final phase of its lineup and it is one of the best EDM-centric lineups you will find one the planet. With this last lineup announcement Ultra presently has over 200+ acts who will perform on eight different stages over three days from March 28-30th. With so many musical acts taking place at any given time it creates the problem of choosing who to see and who to pass up, a good problem to have but a problem nonetheless. That is why it is ever so important to plan ahead when going to a festival to decide whether to see as many people as possible or just stay and watch your favorites in full.
