Osheaga, Bottlerock and Amnesia Rockfest All Announce 2014 Line-Ups

It’s been a busy past seven days for festival announcements with Montreal’s Osheaga Music Festival, Napa Valley’s Bottlerock Music & Arts Festival and Quebec’s Amnesia Rockfest all recently confirming their full line-ups for 2014.

Hailed as Canada’s number one music festival by Pollstar, the ninth annual Osheaga Music Festival will return to Parc Jean-Drapeau on the weekend of August 1-3. Over 125,000 Osheaga Music Festival tickets were sold for the 2013 event which saw Mumford and Sons, The Cure and Beck top the bill. But the addition of a sixth stage, which will showcase both local and international emerging talent, suggests organisers are expecting this year to be even bigger and better.

There are still a handful of Osheaga Music Festival tickets waiting to be snapped up on with three-day passes available at a get-in price of $389 and an average price of $650 and single day passes on offer at $316/$632 for Aug 1 and $301/$341 for both Aug 2 and 3.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Atlanta duo Outkast will bring their highly inventive brand of hip-hop to the island as part of their ambitious 40-date festival reunion tour and will be joined by Arctic Monkeys, who scored the highest entry on the Billboard 200 last September with AM, and Jack White, who is set to appear twice on Neil Young’s new album, as headliners.

Elsewhere, there are big names from the worlds of indie-rock (Foster The People, Modest Mouse, Band of Horses), hip-hop (Childish Gambino, J. Cole, Chance The Rapper), pop (Haim, CHVRCHES, Lorde) rock (Against Me!, The Replacements, AWOLNATION), folk (Old Crow Medicine Show, Gogol Bordello, Serena Ryder) and electronica (Cut Copy, Chase and Status, Gesaffelstein), the latter three of whom are also confirmed to appear at this year’s Miami Ultra Music Festival on Mar 28-30 (3-day passes $565/$844).

Canada’s biggest rock festival, Amnesia Rockfest, will also celebrate its ninth birthday when it returns to the town of Montebello, Quebec on June 20-21. The feast of punk, rock and metal has continued to grow in stature since its debut on the circuit back in 2006 and this year boasts possibly it strongest line-up yet.

Now working on their seventh studio effort, Blink 182 will headline alongside Weezer, who last month embarked on their second headlining cruise tour, and Motley Crue, who will launch their 72-date retirement tour just a fortnight later. While other notable performers include Black Flag and their former frontman Henry Rollins, who are currently at war over a copyright infringement lawsuit, the current incarnation of The Misfits and their founding members’ reunion, Danzig with Doyle, and Mastodon and Meshuggah, both of whom will also appear at Bonnaroo a week earlier on June 12-15 (4-day passes $310/$523).

Amnesia Rockfest tickets for the two-day event, which will also feature the likes of Megadeth, Primus, Alice in Chains, Taking Back Sunday, Joan Jett, Cypress Hill, NOFX, The Used and Alkaline Trio as well as a rock n’ roll museum and haunted house, are currently unavailable on TicketIQ. But be sure to keep checking back for the latest information on Amnesia Rockfest tickets.

Back with new owners and producers for a second year, California’s fledgling Bottlerock Music & Arts Festival may have been scaled down from five to three days for 2014 but its line-up remains just as impressive as its inaugural’s. Set to release their first LP in six years this summer, goth rock pioneers The Cure join country singer-songwriter Eric Church, who recently scored his second US chart-topper with The Outsiders, as headliners alongside the soon-to-be ubiquitous Outkast, who will also visit the state next month for the two Coachella weekends (3-day passes April 11-13 $490/$1039, Apr 18-20 $450/$831).

Festivalgoers with Bottlerock tickets can also look forward to sets from college rock favorites Third Eye Blind, Smash Mouth, Barenaked Ladies and Spin Doctors, rappers LL Cool J and De La Soul and experimental artists Sublime With Rome, Thee Oh Sees and Keep Shelly In Athens as well as performances from The Fray, Matt & Kim, Deerhunter, Heart and Blues Traveler and an array of local acts, pop-up tasting rooms and wineries.

There are still a handful of Bottlerock tickets up for grabs on TicketIQ with three-day passes currently available at a get-in price of $388 and an average price of $438.
