Previewing The Spurs Remaining Home Games
March 26, 2014
Over the last month there has been no hotter team in the NBA than the San Antonio Spurs who last night played what has to be the coldest team in the league over that timespan, the Philadelphia 76ers. Coming into the game both teams were on multiple game streaks, the San Antonio Spurs at an impressive 13 game winning streak while the 76ers had an equally impressive losing streak of 24 games. Knowing that heading into the game it was easy to predict who would come out of the game with the win.
The San Antonio Spurs were able to extend both streaks by picking up their 14th straight win to improve to 54-16 by beating the Philadelphia 76ers comfortably 113-91 who recorded their 25th consecutive loss. The Spurs were able to do this thanks to their bench and particularly Austin Daye and Patty Mills. Neither of these two players have played all that outstandingly this year but last night they combined to score 37 points off the bench with Daye putting up a game high 22 points.
Tonight the San Antonio Spurs will host the Denver Nuggets as they begin to dwindle down towards the end of the regular season. The Spurs only have six home games left on the year which are averaging $82 per ticket. However none of those games are as cheap as tonights against the Nuggets which has dropped in price by an amazing 45% to its current average price of just $38. As a result of Spurs tickets falling in price for tonights game they have an extremely low Get-in of ust $3.
On the other hand the Spurs most expensive game left of the season comes in their very last home game when the Los Angeles Lakers come to town to finish the regular season. This game is well above the average ticket price for the remaining Spurs games going for $124 with a Get-in rate of $13 after dipping by 9% over the past week. With only a few games left at home before the start of the NBA Playoffs Spurs fans would be wise to get tickets now before prices skyrocket when the playoffs do start.
