Prince To Appear On The Arsenio Hall Show
March 5, 2014
Prince will finally be leaving the UK for his home country in early March. The eccentric pop and r&b superstar will be appearing on the Arsenio Hall Show on March 5th. According to previews for the program, Prince will also be performing multiple songs from his illustrious career on the show.
Many are hoping this will be the prerequisite to an upcoming tour, or at least the announcement of a performance around the 2014 MLB All-Star Game in his home state of Minnesota. Prince had been performing secret shows through the UK in January and February with new band 3RDEYEGIRL to rave reviews. The extremely rare Prince tickets we're quickly being sold on re-sale markets despite the performances having as little as 2 hours notice.
Prince was a guest multiple times on the original Arsenio Hall Show from the late 1980's and early 1990's, and announced his 2014 appearance in a segment involving a Prince look-a-like claiming he's “practiced” since then. Prince appeared on American TV earlier this year, guest starring in an episode of “New Girl”. Perhaps the most memorable Prince moment on TV was a skit from “Chappelle's Show” in 2004 featuring comedian Charlie Murphy recalling a story in which he lost a street basketball game to Prince (played by Dave Chappelle), who later offered the losing team pancakes.
