Top 5 NBA Tickets Of The Week (3/10)
March 10, 2014
Its crunch time. The NBA playoffs are just over a month away from starting and teams are doing anything (and everything) they can to make sure they get their ticket punched for the playoffs these next couple weeks. There are still a bunch of teams capable of playing their way into one of the final playoff spots in both conferences, making these last games left over the course of the regular season must wins. In the East there are four teams all vying for the eighth and final spot separated by only 3.5 games while in the West there are only two teams in contention. With each game becoming ever more important we wanted to highlight the top games of the week:
1) 3/16 Houston Rockets @ Miami Heat Avg $318 | Get-in $54 | Up 3%
The top game of the week is normally the one that features two teams with a chance to reach the NBA Finals and this week is no different as the Houston Rockets travel to South Beach to play the Miami Heat on Sunday. This game recently took over the number one position in our list as ticket prices have risen just enough over the past week (3%), to overtake the top spot at an average price for Heat tickets at $318 with a reasonable get-in of $54.
2) 3/16 Dallas Mavericks @ Oklahoma City Thunder Avg $317 | Get-in $87 | Down 3%
This game between the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder comes in at the two spot after narrowly being edged out by just a dollar for the highest priced ticket of the week. Thunder tickets for this game have an average price of $317 for what has the makings for an offensive explosion with both teams ranking inside the top 8 in the NBA for points per game but if you act now you can still get-in for $87.
3) 3/12 Brooklyn Nets @ Miami Heat Avg $244 | Get-in $44 | Down 9%
The Heat make our list for the second time when Brooklyn Nets travel to sunny Miami on Wednesday night. Paul Pierce and KG will have their work cut out for them if they are going to overcome the firepower of the two time defending NBA Champion Miami Heat on their home court in a game that is averaging $244 with a get-in price of $44.
4) 3/14 Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs Avg $230 | Get-in $58 | Down 2%
On Friday night we see the familiar matchup between the Los Angeles and San Antonio coming in as the number four game of the week. The Spurs have been on a mission to make it back to the NBA Finals after losing in heartbreaking fashion to the Heat a season ago and look like they just may as they have the best record in the league. Spurs tickets for this game are going for $230 on average with a get-in price of $58.
5) 3/15 Milwaukee Bucks @ New York Knicks Avg $210 | Get-in $50 | Down 8%
Even though these two teams are near the bottom of the league in terms of wins they combine for the fifth most expensive game of the week despite falling in price by 8% over the past few days. This game is a must win for the Knicks who have won four straight if they have any hope left of still making the NBA playoffs as the eighth seed in the East. Tickets for this Saturday game are going for $210 on average with some priced as low as $50.
