The Los Angeles Angels won the most regular season games in baseball during 2014, but ran into a hot Kansas City Royals team during the playoffs. The majority of Los Angeles’s team remains intact, but the team has opted to make a few moves in the offseason. Los Angeles traded away second baseman, Howie Kendrick to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The move created a hole at second base, but the team is considering a multitude of free agents. Los Angeles also signed Cuban infielder Roberto Baldoquin in hopes of him contributing in the near future. Los Angeles and Tampa Bay engaged in a minor trade, sending reliever Kevin Jepsen to Tampa Bay for slugging outfielder, Matt Joyce. Jepsen gives Tampa Bay another power arm for its bullpen while Joyce is a pure lefty specialist that can hit massive home runs and play solid defense. Los Angeles has MLB’s best player in outfielder Mike Trout, who is only 24 years old. Trout’s versatility and offensive prowess takes a lot of pressure off other players. Los Angeles is looking to repeat as AL West champion, return to the playoffs and will be seeking revenge against Kansas City.
