The Hudson Project Music and Arts Festival is a new 3 day event which takes place from July 11th to July 13th in Saugerties, New York. The inaugural line-up includes popular headliners from various genres with hit rappers Kendrick Lamar and Atmosphere, electronic acts Bassnectar and flying lotus, and indie rock legends, Modest Mouse and The Flaming Lips. Tickets for the festival go on sale April 4th and includes different payment options including layaways. General admission tickets for the festival start at $185 or $215 if you plan to camp out on site. There are also VIP options starting at $449. Festival goers can also purchase camping equipment from the Hudson Project with their VIP ticket. For city dwellers the festival is offering shuttle passes to bus you from New York, Albany, Boston, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. This upstate NY festival should be a nice summer hit and a nice alternative to the bigger festivals this summer.
Kendrick Lamar will also be a headlining acting for the Pitchfork Music Festival the next weekend, while Modest Mouse have a festival-heavy schedule during the summer, including headlining Sunday night at the Boston Calling festival.
