Top 5 Broadway Tickets Of The Week (4/21)

Springtime may be responsible for more than just the beautiful weather as several Broadway shows will see increased ticket prices this week. Leading the pack is Matilda, with average ticket prices up over 64% this week. Not far behind is Motown with an increase of 60% on the secondary market. Cinderella, the Disney classic that made its Broadway debut last year, will see ticket price rise 42% this week. Hedwig and the Angry Inch ticket prices will rise 23%, while Cyndi Lauper’s production Kinky Boots rounds out the list with a 16% ticket price increase.

4/22 Cinderella  /  Avg. Price: $385  /  Get-in: $141

The shoe will certainly fit during Tuesday’s Cinderella show as the average ticket price will increase by over 40%. Cinderella tickets have an average price of $385 with a get-in price of $141. Cinderella is being performed at the Broadway Theatre at 1681 Broadway.

4/23 Matilda  /  Avg. Price: $526  /  Get-in: $137

The highest ticket price increase this week on Broadway will be for Dennis Kelly’s interpretation of Matilda, based on the famous Roald Dahl children’s novel. With prices up 64%, April 23 Matilda tickets will go for $526 on the secondary market with a get-in price of $137. Matilda is featured at the Shubert Theatre at 225 West 44th Street.

4/24 Hedwig and the Angry Inch  /  Avg. Price: $532  /  Get-in: $490

A newcomer to the Broadway scene, Hedwig and the Angry Inch will also see ticket prices increase for its April 24 show. Featuring How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, April 24 Hedwig and the Angry Inch tickets will see an average price of $532 with a get-in price of $490, up 23% on the secondary market. Hedwig is being performed at the Belasco Theatre at 111 West 44th Street.

4/26 Motown  /  Avg. Price: $412  /  Get-in: $183

Also seeing a large rise in secondary market ticket prices is Motown, which will see a 60% jump for its April 26 show. Performing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre at 205 West 46th Street, the average price for Saturday night Motown tickets is set at $412 with a get-in price of $183.

4/26 Kinky Boots  /  Avg. Price: $418  /  Get-in: $161

Debuting last April, Cyndi Lauper’s Kinky Boots will see a price rise of 16% for Saturday’s show. Average price for April 26 Kinky Boots tickets will be $418 with a get-in price of $161. Kinky Boots is being performed at the Al Hirschfield Theatre at 302 West 45th Street.
