Judas Priest, Nas & Death Cab For Cutie Headline 9th Annual Fun Fun Fun Fest

May 21, 2014

Headlined by Judas Priest, Nas & Death Cab For Cutie, one of North America’s most eclectic festivals will once again showcase the best in metal, hip-hop, indie-rock and electronica this fall following the release of Fun Fun Fun Fest tickets for its ninth annual event.

Returning to Austin’s Auditorium Shores & Butler Park on the weekend of November 7-9, the three-day spectacle has become renowned for attracting an impressive array of both emerging talent and established artists to play its three colorful stages, and this year is no exception.

Alongside metal legends Judas Priest, who are returning to Texas for the first time in 25 years, the Black Stage will also welcome the likes of theatrical Danish rocker King Diamond, Canadian punk duo Death From Above 1979 and industrial hip-hop trio Death Grips, with Rocket From The Crypt, The Blood Brothers, Gorilla Biscuits, Amon Amarth, Glassjaw and Black Lips just some of the other names confirmed.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his seminal debut, Illmatic, hip-hop icon Nas takes top billing on the Blue Stage, just ahead of mash-up maestro Girl Talk, Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa and experimental producer Flying Lotus, with hipster pop starlet Sky Ferreira, electro pioneer Gary Numan, R&B crooner Ginuwine, Atlanta MC 2 Chainz, Australian synth-pop duo The Presets and underground Minneapolis outfit Atmosphere also scheduled to appear.

While in addition to indie rockers Death Cab For Cutie, who recently released their first ever live album in aid of Record Store Day, fans with Fun Fun Fun Fest tickets can also enjoy sets from the reformed Neutral Milk Hotel, Mercury Prize winners Alt-J and Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit as well as the likes of Dinosaur Jr., The New Pornographers, Guided By Voices, City and Colour, Failure and Yo La Tengo.

Fun Fun Fest tickets are expected to become available any time soon, so be sure to keep checking back on TicketIQ for the latest information on one of 2014’s most diverse festivals.
