It was an interesting past weekend in Major League Soccer, as the number one team in the west Seattle Sounders FC will look to rebound this weekend after an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the New England Revolution in a matchup of top teams in the league.  The Chicago Fire finally recorded their first victory after nine games with a 5-4 win over the New York Red Bulls.  Sporting Kansas City continues to show their championship form and Real Salt Lake has yet to lose a game this season.  Here are the top 5 MLS tickets of the week.

5/17/14- LA Galaxy vs Houston Dynamo | Avg. Price: $63.04 | Get in Price: $25

The LA Galaxy have been struggling this year and will look to start playing much better as they will visit the BBVA Compass Stadium to take on the Houston Dynamo who are coming off a loss to Real Salt Lake.  Dynamo tickets have an average price of $63.04 with a get in price of $25.00 as tickets are down 10%.

5/17/14- Columbus Crew vs Portland Timbers | Avg. Price: $59.56 | Get in Price: $27

The Columbus Crew will take on the Portland Timbers at Providence Park on May 17.  Both teams are in desperate need of a win or they will continue to fall behind in the standings.  Portland Timbers tickets have an average price of $54.93 with a get in price of $27.00.  Tickets are down 16% over the past week.

5/17/14- San Jose Earthquakes vs Seattle Sounders FC | Avg. Price: $54.93 | Get in Price: $23

This is a matchup between to western conference teams where Seattle is ranked number one but are coming off a humiliating defeat and San Jose is currently ranked sixth and are coming off a win over Dallas.  Sounder FC tickets at CenturyLink Field have an average price of $54.93 with a get in price of $23.00 as tickets are up 3%.

5/14/14- Philadelphia Union vs Sporting KC |Avg. Price: $51.24 | Get in Price: $18

Sporting Kansas City will host the Philadelphia Union at the Sporting Park on May 14.  Sporting KC tickets have an average price of $51.24 with a get in price of $18.00 as tickets are down 11% over the past week.

With still a long way to go in MLS season and many teams are within striking distance to win their respective conference.  It will be interesting to see just what teams will separate themselves from the pack.
