Concerts: Top Spring & Summer Tours

The summer is known by music fans as festival season as the warmer weather rolls around so do the countless number of outdoor festivals and concerts. Summers are also time for a lot of the big names in popular music to embark on their headlining acts. This summer is no different with dozens of the most popular artists today of all genres of music heading out of the road and touring across the country.
The one and only Justin Timberlake is finishing up The 20/20 Experience World Tour. He returns from Europe and plays Buffalo on July 9th. He plays Boston, Montreal, New Orleans, and Las Vegas among others before ending the final stateside leg of his tour in Los Angeles August 12th at the Staples Center. One Direction fans in the northeast should get their tickets for one of their August shows as the Where We Are Tour is stopping at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the Nationals Park in Washington, DC, and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lady Gaga is touring in support of her latest album Artpop with the Artrave, the Artpop Ball Tour. The tour’s US leg began on May 4th in Fort Lauderdale and stops at many major cities including some Canadian dates, ending on August 6th in Denver, Colorado.
Fellow pop icon Katy Perry is touring to support her latest album Prism. The Prismatic World Tour comes to North America on June 22nd first stopping in Raleigh, North Carolina. The arena tour hits US and Canadian cities throughout the summer and into the fall with the last US show in Houston at the Toyota Center on October 10th and 11th. The Dave Matthews Band is touring the summer hitting several cities but also smaller markets such as Saratoga Springs, New York and Camden, New Jersey. The tour concludes in early September with a pair of California shows. Nine Inch Nails is playing several dates this Summer with Soundgarden including the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.
Country fans can see Keith Urban is finishing up the Light the Fuse tour when he heads stateside to Atlantic City, New Jersey on July 17th. Urban will stay in the US until September 13th in Puyallup, Washington. Phillip Phillips is touring with alternative rock heroes O.A.R. heading up and down the east coast.
Hip-Hop fans can see Eminem with Rihanna on the very short stadium Monster Tour which is hitting just Detroit, Pasadena, and New York in August. Finally Jay-Z and Beyonce are co-headlining the On The Run tour, a short, 16-date tour beginning on June 25th in Miami, Florida at the Sun Life Stadium. Needless to say music fans of all genres will have something to look forward to this summer.
