Outkast & Massive Attack Top Line-Up For 2014 Treasure Island Music Festival
June 18, 2014
Hip-hop duo Outkast and trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack will both head for San Francisco this fall following the official line-up announcement and release of Treasure Island Music Festival tickets for the 2014 two-day event.
Now in its eighth year, the more compact alternative to Outside Lands will return to the picturesque Treasure Island, which overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz in between San Francisco and Oakland, on the weekend of October 18-19.
Last year’s feast of music saw the likes of Atoms For Peace, Major Lazer and Little Dragon take to its two stages. However, this year’s bill is arguably just as impressive. Alongside sets from Andre 3000 and Big Boi, who are performing at 40 different festivals this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, and the Bristol duo, who are also due to perform at Mexico City’s Corona Capital a week earlier, those with Treasure Island tickets can also look forward to an eclectic array of artists from the worlds of indie, rock, electronica and R&B.
Set to release their sixth album, Brill Bruises, in August, Canadian power-pop collective The New Pornographers are confirmed to appear, as are 2012 Mercury Prize winners Alt-J, German superstar DJ Zedd, critically-acclaimed diva Janelle Monae, hotly-tipped newcomer Banks and Brooklyn art-rockers TV On The Radio, with Washed Out, Jungle, St. Lucia, White Denim, MO, Polica, The Growlers, Classixx, Chet Faker, Ryan Hemsworth, Ana Tijoux, Asgeir, XXYYXX, Ratking, Tobacco, Bleached, Painted Palms and Waters completing the line-up.
Treasure Island tickets are expected to go on sale later this week so be sure to keep checking back on TicketIQ for the latest information on one of the West Coast’s most scenic music festivals.
