Indie Rockers Spoon Announces Upcoming Tour Dates

Austin indie rock band Spoon are heading out on a massive tour this summer in support of their new album They Want My Soul, due out in August. After some festival appearances Spoon will play the Metro in Chicago on August 1st, a day before they play Lollapalooza, also in Chicago.
On August 5th Spoon will open for Arcade Fire at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California. Both bands will also play together again on August 30th at Parc Jean Drapeau in Arcade Fire’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec. A can’t miss for any indie rock fans. On September 7th Spoon will play the Boston Calling Music Festival with The Replacements and The War On Drugs.
Spoon comes to New York City on September 10th to play Central Park before heading out west. The show in Royal Oak, Michigan at the Royal Oak Theatre has the cheapest average ticket price of $79.08, far below the tour average price of $149.12. This is also the last show fans can catch the Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser open for Spoon on their tour. On the 17th Spoon plays The Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee with indie songstress EMA opening. This show has the highest average ticket price of $193.50. After a string with midwest shows with EMA, Spoon heads to their hometown of Austin, Texas to play both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
