Everything comes down to E.J. Manuel in 2014 for the Buffalo Bills. The team has added major depth at wide receiver and running back and their rising defense figures to be ready to take the next step. Whether or not the team as a whole can make that happen, though, could rest on the raw Manuel’s broad shoulders.
It won’t be easy, as the Buffalo Bills schedule kicks off the regular season on the road against the Chicago Bears and ends on the road against the division rival New England Patriots. In between, the Bills will need to find a way to get past the likes of the Chargers, Chiefs, Broncos and Packers. Whether or not Manuel can step up to the challenge in those potential shootouts could prove to be the difference.
