The Kansas City Chiefs took the league by storm last year thanks to a nasty defense and a crazy 9-0 start. That won’t happen again in 2014, and the league has made sure of it. Based off of the Kansas City Chiefs schedule alone, a 9-0 start can be quickly forgotten and simply making the playoffs could be a tall order.
The NFL conveniently has KC battling the Broncos, Patriots and 49ers in their first five games. That probably kills the undefeated talk, while Kansas City still has to worry about that second matchup with Denver, as well as showdowns with the Seahawks, Jets, Cardinals and Steelers. The Chiefs certainly have the balance on both sides of the ball to keep themselves on the rise, but a quick look at their 2014 schedule shows a tough road ahead.
