Mastodon Adds More 2014 Tour Dates

Atlanta based metal quartet Mastodon is heading out on tour at the end of April to promote the release of their upcoming 6th full length album Once More Round the Sun. The new album is to be released this year comes after 2011’s The Hunter. Fans can get their Mastodon tickets which cover the US and Canada before heading off to Europe.

The tour kicks off on April 28th in Seattle, Washington at the Showbox Sodo. On the 29th they stay in the Northwest traveling to Portland, Oregon for a show at the Roseland Theatre. After that Mastodon heads to California for a show in Oakland on May 1st at the Fox Theatre and a show in Los Angeles on May 2nd at the Nokia Theatre. On May 3rd Mastodon stops in Las Vegas to play at the House of Blues before heading out to the Midwest. After a week in the midwest which includes stops in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh Mastodon heads up north to Toronto on May 10th where they are performing at the Sound Academy. On May 13th the band plays in Washington D.C. at the 9:30 Club. This show has the most expensive average ticket price at $141, 36% higher than the tour average ticket price of $104. Fans in the area who do not want to pay that much can make the drive to Philadelphia for Mastodon’s show on May 17th at the Electric Factory. This show has an average ticket price of only $76.

The band returns to the midwest to play Columbus, Ohio on May 18th at the Rock on the Range Music Festival, sharing the stage with Kid Rock and Five Finger Death Punch. This is the last chance for US fans to catch Mastodon until June 13th when they take a break from the European leg of their tour to play the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.
