The Simpsons Take The Bowl Tickets Released To Celebrate 25th Anniversary

In light of the 25th anniversary of the show, Matt Groening has teamed up with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra to celebrate The Simpsons with the release of The Simpsons Take The Bowl tickets on September 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Right away, true fans of the show will notice even the title of the 3 date extravaganza is a reference of loving father Homer's common breaking the fourth wall by exclaiming what the family will be doing in a number of episodes.

The trio of special events comes on the heels of a mega half-billion dollar TV deal with FXX and a Family Guy crossover special set to air in the fall. By all accounts, the event is tailored towards both hardcore and casual fans of the show, with voice actors Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith on board to provide live voice acting and commentary over never before seen clips and some of the cast's favorite scenes throughout it's historic run on Fox. The Hollywood Bowl will also be transformed into the world famous city of Springfield, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will provide live score including John Williams' theme. Numerous guest stars are also slated to appear, including Jon Lovitz, Weird Al, and Beverly D'Angelo. Series creator Matt Groening will be on hand for all 3 shows.

The Simpsons Take The Bowl tickets look to affordable on the secondary market, with the overall average checking in at $86.71. September 12th's opening night is the priciest of the bunch at $90.06 while Saturday September 13th is the cheapest at $84.62. The Sunday finale has an average asking price of $86.42.
