Previewing The 2014 Minnesota Vikings Schedule
August 5, 2014
Minnesota has it’s eye on the future in 2014, as new head coach Mike Zimmer should light a fire under a shaky defensive unit and new offensive coordinator Norv Turner should bring life to a one-dimensional offense. If all goes well, the Vikings could even see immediate results, especially if new franchise quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is the guy they clearly think he is.
Those if’s could get dragged down by a rough opening slate, as the Minnesota Vikings schedule for 2014 gets going with five tough matchups against the Rams, Patriots, Saints, Falcons and Packers. Minnesota can either use that tough opening stand as a measuring stick, or cave against the seemingly superior competition. How they fare there should inevitably play into how they end the season, as well, as the schedule only gets tougher with the Packers, Bears (twice) and Panthers on the docket over the final seven weeks.
