With 6-2 Start, Cowboys Tickets Are Biggest Price Gainers Of 2014 NFL Season

November 1, 2014

It has been an exciting NFL season so far with many surprises and disappointments for fans around the country. One of the biggest surprises is the Dallas Cowboys resurgence, led by Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray, and their young and talented offensive line. Through eight games the Cowboys are 6-2, and despite some injury concerns about Romo, "America's Team" are in a great position to win their first NFC East title since 2009.

The ticket market has responded and the price for tickets to games at AT&T Stadium have gone up 20.63% since their preseason average, the biggest increase of any team in the NFL. Below is a list of all price gainers through 8 weeks of the NFL season:

Chargers $199.44 $200.44 0.50%

As you can see, the list is full of other teams have a surprisingly successful 2014 campaign. The Buffalo Bills (5-3) and Arizona Cardinals (6-1) are two of the other biggest movers on the list, with jumps 20.07% and 10.21%, respectively. Besides the Seahawks, every other team on this list has either met or exceeded preseason expectations and their success has led to these price jumps on the secondary market. On the other hand, not all teams have met preseason expectations and have seen their ticket prices take a major hit since the season began.

Excluding those Patriots (and maybe the Colts), the biggest price droppers on this list have either taken a step back this season, or, continue to be the bottom-feeders of the NFL.
