November 18, 2014
Florida’s finest 11-piece blues collective, Tedeschi Trucks Band, haven’t even finished their current North American tour, but have already started planning their next with the release of tickets for a series of early 2015 dates.
Fronted by husband and wife Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, the Jacksonville outfit had previously confirmed that they would be kicking off the New Year with a hometown performance at the Florida Theatre on January 16 – tickets for which are available on TicketIQ at a get-in price of $77 – and Sunshine Music & Blues Festival sets at Saint Petersburg’s Vinoy Park on Jan 17 ($75) and Boca Raton’s Mizner Park Amphitheatre on Jan 18 ($82).
But fans will also soon be able to get their hands on Tedeschi Trucks Band tickets for an additional five shows including Birmingham’s Alabama Theatre on Jan 22, Chattanooga’s Tivoli Theatre on Jan 23, Knoxville’s Tennessee Theatre on Jan 25, Wilkes-Barre’s FM Kirby Center on February 15 and Wilmington’s Grand Opera House on Feb 17, with several more dates expected to be announced in the near future.
Tedeschi Trucks Band tickets for their final run of 2014 shows are still available to buy on TicketIQ with the December 11 gig at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage currently with the lowest get-in price at $73, and the Dec 13 performance at Boston’s House of Blues with the highest at $161.
Alongside all the highlights from the group’s Grammy-winning 2011 debut Revelator and their 2013 follow-up Made Up Mind, those with Tedeschi Trucks Band tickets for their most recent gigs have also been treated to cover versions of The Rolling Stones’ “You Got The Silver,” Freddie King’s “Palace Of The King” and Betty Harris’ “Break In The Road.”
