Music City Bowl Tickets Are 2nd Highest Since 2010

A LSU vs Notre Dame meeting seemed to be one of the best matchups the Music City Bowl has seen in some time and the early pace on the secondary market hinted towards that as well. However, the prices on the secondary market have dropped heavily since the matchup was first announced. The average price has dropped 31% since it’s original $135.86 average price. The average is now below $100 at $93.64 and has fallen below the 2010 game between North Carolina and Tennessee for the most expensive Music City Bowl over the past five seasons.

The average ticket price LSU vs. Notre Dame is currently $135.86 on the secondary market while the get-in price for the game is $29. That easily makes this the most expensive Music City Bowl on the secondary market since 2010 and arguably the best matchup the bowl has seen over the past five years.
Notre Dame won six straight games to start their season, but lost five of their last six games to finish at a disappoint 7-5 mark. Notre Dame’s season began to unravel after a controversial 31-28 road loss to Florida State. Notre Dame was able to bounce back in the following week to defeat Navy, 49-39, but lost four straight games heading into this match-up. Notre Dame was embarrassed in its last regular season game at USC. USC routed Notre Dame, 49-14 as Notre Dame’s pass defense gave up 372 passing yards and six touchdowns. Notre Dame’s defense gave way to 205 rushing yards which may be a problem against LSU’s potent rushing attack.
While fans can expect to pay top prices to attend the Music City Bowl, LSU and Notre Dame will square off for the first time since the 2007 Sugar Bowl when LSU won, 41-13. LSU and Notre Dame have split the all-time series, 5-5. Expect a spirited effort from two of the top programs in college football.
