Top Indie/Alternative Concert Tickets Of The Week (12/22)

This week in indie and alternative shows feature’s 10 strong acts kicking off on the 26th with Blind Melon at the El Rey Theatre and punk band X at the Fillmore in San Francisco. On the 27th Deer Tick play the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, New York City, Taking Back Sunday plays the Starland Ballroom in nearby Sayreville, New Jersey. Also on the 27th Rusted Root stop at the Paramount Theatre,the Bouncing Souls at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey and alternative rapper Sammy Adams at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. Finally on the 28th fans can catch the likes of Sublime with Rome at the HOB Anaheim, Television at Irving Plaza in NYC, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones at the HOB in Boston.

 

12/28 Sublime with Rome at the House of Blues Anaheim - Average Ticket Price $154.76 | Get-in $81

Sublime with Rome will be at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California this week on the 28th. The average ticket price for the show is $154.76 but fans can get in for as low as $81. Sublime with Rome last put out their only record under that name Yours Truly in 2011 but fans will obviously hear some of Sublime’s classics like “What I Got” and “Santeria”. The California natives will also be at the Anaheim House of Blues on the 27th and the 29th.

12/27 Sammy Adams at the Paradise Rock Club - Average Ticket Price $118.33 | Get-in $59

Rapper Sammy Adams will be at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts this week on the 27th. The average ticket price for the show is $118.33 but fans can find tickets for as low as $59. This is a good price for the Boston native’s hometown show who last released his ep Homecoming in 2013. The rapper will also be at Webster Hall in New York City on the 28th and on the 29th at the Howard Theatre in Washington D.C.

 

12/27 Bouncing Souls at the Stone Pony - Limited Tickets Available

Punk band the Bouncing Souls will play the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey this week on the 27th. The New Jersey natives last released Comet in 2012 but fans should expect to hear classics from How I Spent My Summer Vacation and Hopeless Romantic. This show at the Stone Pony features opener None More Black. The band will also play the NJ venue on the 26th with Bane and on the 28th with Jesse Malin and Frank Iero.

 

12/28 Mighty Mighty Bosstones at the House of Blues Boston - Average Ticket Price $88.74 | Get-in $43

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will be playing in Boston, Massachusetts at the House of Blues this week on the 28th. The average ticket price for this show is $88.74 though fans can find

tickets for half that price at $43.This is a good price for the popular ska band and Boston natives with Andrew WK opening. The band will also play the HOB Boston on the 26th with Big D and the Kids Table and again on the 27th with the Warning Shots.

 

12/27 Taking Back Sunday at the Starland Ballroom  - Average Ticket Price $75.18 | Get-in $57

Emo band Taking Back Sunday will play the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey this week on the 27th. This show has an average ticket price of only $75.18 and the lowest get-in price is set at $57. This show features opening bands The Menzingers and Modern Baseball. Taking Back Sunday will also be at the Starland Ballroom on the 28th with Have Mercy and Modern Baseball. The band last put out Happiness Is this year.

 

12/26 X at the Fillmore San Francisco - Average Ticket Price $65.25 | Get-in $64

70’s punk band X will be at the Fillmore in San Francisco, California this week on the 26th. The average ticket price for this show is set at $65.25, barely over the lowest get-in price of $64. The band most known for their 1980 album Los Angeles and last put out a full length in 1993 with Hey Zeus! but put out a Christmas ep in 2009. X will also be at the Fillmore in San Francisco on the 27th.

 

12/27 Deer Tick at Brooklyn Bowl - Limited Tickets Available

Indie rock band Deer Tick will be at the fan favorite Brooklyn Bowl in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City on the 27th. The band last released their fifth album Negativity last year. This performance at the Brooklyn Bowl is just one of many as Deer Tick will also play the Williamsburgh venue on the 26th, the 28th, 29th, 30th, and the 31st. Each show will feature different opening acts and will heavily feature different cover sets of other famous musicians.

 

12/28 Television at Irving Plaza - Average Ticket Price $60.89 | Get-in $48

Post-punk New York City natives Television will play their home city at Irving Plaza on December 28th. The average ticket price for the show is $60.89 while the lowest get-in price is at $48. The band ‘s last album came in 1992 while their most popular albums came out in 1977 and 1978. Fans should hear a wide variety of songs from the band’s extensive career. Television will be at the Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia on the 29th and on the 30th at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

 

12/27 Rusted Root at the Paramount Theatre - Average Ticket Price $56.36 | Get-in $45

Rusted Root will be at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York on Long Island. The average ticket price for the show is set at $56.36 and the lowest get-in price is $45. The folk band last released The Movement in 2012 but is most known for their album When I Woke from 1994. The band will also play the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, Massachusetts on the the 28th and  Jergel Rhythm’s Grille in Warrendale, Pennsylvania on the 29th.

 

12/26 Blind Melon at the El Rey Theatre Avg. Price $48 Get-in $42

Alternative rock band Blind Melon will play the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California. LA natives, this show has an average ticket price of $48, barely higher than the lowest get-in price of $42. The band who had their biggest success in the 90’s last released For My Friends in 2008, their first since 1996. Fans should still expect to hear the classic “No Rain” on their tour which includes shows at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on the 27th and the City Winery in Napa, California on the 28th.
