The 2015 San Francisco Giants are the reigning World Series champions. San Francisco has been a model franchise for consistency and clutch postseason play. By way of its elite starting pitching and timely hitting, San Francisco has won three World Series championships in the last five seasons. San Francisco was led by starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner, who won the NLCS and World Series MVP Awards. During the 2014 World Series, Bumgarner set an MLB-record with a 0.25 ERA in 25 World Series innings. Bumgarner had arguably the most dominant postseason in history and was instrumental in San Francisco’s World Series title. Not all was positive, though, as San Francisco did lose third baseman Pablo Sandoval in free agency to the Boston Red Sox. Sandoval recorded 26 hits in 17 playoff games and will be sorely missed by fans. San Francisco will attempt to replace Sandoval with Casey McGehee, who hit just four home runs in 616 at-bats for the Miami Marlins in 2014. Despite losing Sandoval, San Francisco will welcome back ex-Cy Young Award winner, Matt Cain. Cain, who only made 15 starts last season, had elbow surgery and his resurgence could be key to another World Series run.

2014 ARI $160.66 $49.00
2013 STL $246.39 $10.00

The rise in ticket prices aligns directly with expectations for the 2015 San Francisco Giants. Fans are expecting another deep playoff run. San Francisco can make things a little easier by topping the Los Angeles Dodgers for the National League West title. Los Angeles has opted to overhaul its roster, injecting new faces and youth into its roster. Los Angeles still boasts an impressive duo of Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke at the top of its rotation. If Cain can return to form, San Francisco will be able to match Los Angeles’ aces. While Colorado isn’t expected to win many games, Colorado has a lot of great hitters. It’ll be a big test for Bumgarner and Co. on Opening Day.
