(UPDATE - 1/5) The Denver Broncos are the No. 2 seed in the AFC as they get ready to host the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Of course the most talked about storyline of this matchup is the epic quarterback battle between Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, as Manning will look to knock the Colts a team he spent his first 14 seasons with out of the playoffs.

The good news for Broncos fans is that tickets for this game have decreased by 43% since the Broncos clinched a playoff spot. The current average price is $348.27 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $121. The Broncos will be favored being at home but Denver is not the same powerfully offensive team from last year as Peyton Manning may be on the decline but his 4,727 yards passing with 39 touchdowns passes is still pretty good.

While the No. 1 seed does require some outside help, the Broncos can at least control their own destiny with a first round win by beating the Bengals this week or Oakland next week. It's safe to say that Peyton Manning is going to make sure that the Broncos at least beat Oakland and secure at least a first-round bye.
There are still plenty of scenarios to play out around the rest of the AFC to determine their first playoff opponent. If the current standings remain as they are right now and the seeding plays out in the Wild Card round, the Broncos are looking at a matchup between the Colts in the Divisional Round. If the current standings remain and the Colts were to lose to the Ravens, the Broncos would be looking at a matchup between the winner of the Bengals and Steelers. Keep in mind, going into week 16 of the NFL season, there are six NFL teams on the outside looking in that still have playoff hopes. These teams include two Broncos AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers.
Regardless of their Divisional Round opponent, playoff tickets are listed at a high premium on the secondary ticket market. Currently, Broncos playoff tickets are averaging $611.40 on TicketIQ while the get-in price is $227. That's 64.9 percent over the regular season average for home games at Mile high this year.
Considering the ticket market for playoff games, it's clear that Broncos fans are excited at a chance of making it back to the AFC Championship game for the second straight year.
