The Brooklyn Nets have regressed this season but are currently the eighth seed in the east in their fifth, and possibly final, year under owner Mikhail Prokhorov. When we purchased the team, Prokhorov insisted that in five years the Nets would be championship contenders. We are now in Year 5 and the Nets are seven games under .500 with rumors swirling that Prokhorov is looking to sell the team after some reported losses for the franchise last season and in his home country of Russia.

Despite struggling and a current seven game losing streak, Nets tickets on the secondary market are still consistent from last season as the most expensive Nets game remaining this season is their March 27 matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavs vs Nets tickets have a current average price of $332.70 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $60.

There is only one game on the remaining Brooklyn Nets home schedule that has an average asking price under $100. A matchup with a top Western Conference team, the Portland Trail Blazers, will serve as Brooklyn’s least expensive remaining game of the season, as Nets tickets have a current secondary average price of $97.42, with a get in price of $8.

It’s going to be very tough for the Nets to get in the postseason as they are struggling right now with a seven losing streak and have a hard schedule ahead. There are multiple games remaining with good teams, especially at the top of the the Eastern Conference. It will be a tossup who wins the eighth seed in the East with six teams still in the hunt for the final spot.
