Elton John: Million Dollar Piano Ticket Prices 45% Below Non-Vegas 2015 Tour Dates

Friday night marks the opening of the first of two Vegas residencies for Elton John in 2015 at the Caesar's Palace Coliseum. The initial run is a preview of sorts, with 6 shows scheduled over one week before Sir Elton plays a handful of US cities in February and March. He'll then return to Vegas for a lengthier month-long residency.

Looking at trends on the secondary market, Elton John tickets in Las Vegas average 45% below his 2015 US shows outside of Las Vegas, including John's partially televised New Year's bash at the Barclay's Center.

The total average of John's “Million Dollar Piano” Vegas residency is $217.88 while the remainder of his US dates including Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville average $314.90.

The first leg in Vegas averages $211.82 with the second stint $218.74. John's 2014 residency at Caesar's Palace averaged $241.24 on the secondary market.

The most expensive non-Vegas date on deck is March 13th at Greenville's Bon Secours Wellness Arena averaging $470.44. The most expensive Vegas date is April 7th at $244.45. Conversely the cheapest non-Vegas date is March 14th at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena at $224.12. The cheapest Vegas date is January 17th at $189.20 – an 18% difference.
