Richie Hawtin, DJ Snoopadelic & Dog Blood To Headline Detroit’s Movement Festival

Techno legend Richie Hawtin, Snoop Dogg’s DJ alter-ego Snoopadelic and Skrillex & Boys Noize’s supergroup Dog Blood have been confirmed as headliners for Detroit’s 16th annual Movement Festival.

Having continued to grow in stature ever since its debut on the circuit back in 2000, the celebration of all things techno, electro, house and hip-hop will once again return to Hart Plaza on the Memorial Day weekend of May 23-25, with over 100,000 dance music fans expected to attend.

Boasting a selection of ‘legends, underground heroes and emerging stars inspired by the city’s musical legacy,’ the 2015 line-up currently consists of 74 different performers, with several more expected to be added over the next week.

One of the biggest breakthrough acts of the last two years, Disclosure, will also be heading to the Motor City, as will UK chart-toppers Route 94, acclaimed British-Japanese DJ/producer Maya Jane Coles and future-funk pioneer GRiZ, while rapper Danny Brown, hitmaker MK, Belville Three member Kevin Saunderson and one of the festival’s former artistic directors, Carl Craig, are just some of the names representing their hometown.

Other key acts scheduled to appear include Matthew Dear, Loco Dice, Tuskegee, Ben Klock, Joris Voorn, Clark, Luciano, Dixon, Hot Since 82, Nina Kraviz, Soul Clap, Eats Everything, People Under the Stairs, Ben UFO, Fort Romeau, Ten Walls, Jeff Derringer, Paco Osuna, Ryan Elliott, Luke Hess, and Art Department.
