Top Indie and Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (1/26)

This week in indie and alternative music features top tickets from some wide ranging musical acts. Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake will play their ska extravaganza on the 27th at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. On the 28th electro-psychedelic band Lotus will be at Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vermont. On the 29th some cool shows hit California with Badfish the Sublime tribute band will be at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles and Ty Segall will be at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. On the 31st dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979 will be at the Bronson Centre in Ottawa, Canada.
1/27 Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, & Authority Zero at the Best Buy Theater - Limited Tickets Available
Ska-punk bands Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake will be at the Best Buy Theater this week on the 27th in New York City. Though Reel Big Fish last released anything new since 2012’s Candy Coated Fury and Less Than Jake put out See The Light in 2013 fans should expect to hear an eclectic mix of songs from the bands careers. The tour along which includes ska band Authority Zero will also play the House of Blues in Boston on the 29th and The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey on the 30th.
1/29 Badfish at the El Rey Theatre - Limited Tickets Available
Badfish the most known Sublime tribute band will be at the El Rey Theatre this week on the 29th in Los Angeles, California. The LA natives play Sublime hits like “Santeria”, “40 oz of Freedom”, and “What I Got”. Badfish will also play other shows in their home state with a show on the 30th at the House of Blues in San Diego and on the 31st at the House of Blues in Anaheim.
1/31 Death From Above 1979 at the Bronson Centre - Limited Tickets Available
Canadian dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979 will be at the Bronson Centre this week on the 31st in Ottawa, Canada. The band released their second album The Physical World last year which is their first since their immensely popular debut album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine. In addition to the show on the 31st the Death From Above 1979 will also be at the Garrick Centre in Winnipeg on the 27th and at the Sound Empire in Barrie, Ontario on the 30th.
1/29 Ty Segall at the Great American Music Hall - Limited Tickets Available
Garage rock musician Ty Segall will be at the Great American Music Hall this week on the 29th in his hometown San Francisco, California. The singer put out Manipulator last year to much acclaim. Segall will play the Great American Music Hall on the 30th as well though with different openers than the 29th. This will be the last shows for the singer until late March in Santa Ana, California for Burgerama 2015.
1/28 Lotus at Higher Ground - Limited Tickets Available
Lotus, the electronic jam band from Indiana will be at Higher Ground this week on the 28th in South Burlington, Vermont. The band last released The Gilded Age last year to much fanfare. The band will also be at Higher Ground on the 27th if fans can’t make it to this show. After the 28th Lotus will play Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut on the 29th, the House of Blues in Boston on the 30th, and on the 31st in Terminal 5 in New York City.
