Under the leadership of new head coach, Jim Harbaugh, expectations are very high for the Michigan Wolverines. Fans are eager to move on from the ‘Brady Hoke years’, which were filled with disappointment and constant distractions. The 2014 Michigan Wolverines finished with a disappointing 5-7 record, which meant they would not play in a bowl game for the third time in the last seven seasons. Michigan’s offense only averaged 333 total yards per game, which was the second worst mark in the Big 10. Senior quarterback, Devin Gardner played through injuries, but horribly regressed after two solid seasons. Gardner was unable to consistently locate tight end, Devin Funchess for big plays. Funchess, who is projected to be a first round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, scored just four touchdowns in 2014. Senior linebacker, Jake Ryan anchored Michigan’s defense and used his speed to make plays. Voted ‘team MVP’ by his team mates, Ryan’s tenacity and hard-nosed play will be missed by fans.

Entering 2015, Harbaugh will be tasked with rebuilding Michigan’s program. While Michigan’s final record highlights an overall poor showing, Michigan’s played surprisingly well in November and December. Michigan ranked 25th among Power-5 teams in rushing yards per game (186). Michigan also ripped off 14 runs of five or more yards against Ohio State. All five starters on the offensive line will return and given Harbaugh’s propensity for building physical teams, expect a hard-nosed ground game to expedite the rebuilding process. Michigan does not have a quarterback yet, but Harbaugh still has time to recruit his first signal caller. Harbaugh is known for his special teams, so expect all three phases to play well on Saturday afternoon. Given’s Michigan’s poor showing last season, its 2015 schedule is not very difficult.

The current average price for Michigan football tickets on the secondary market is $228.51. The most expensive game will be the season finale against Ohio State with an average price of $413.62 and a get-in price of $192. Below is Michigan’s 2015 home football schedule.
