Predators/Red Wings Alumni Game Leads To High Demand And High Ticket Prices
February 27, 2015
The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville will host this Saturday’s Predators/Red Wings alumni game, and tickets won’t be cheap. Following a matinee game between the two teams, some of the league’s former top talent will take the ice beginning at 5 pm CT. The average price for Predators vs Red Wings tickets on TicketIQ is $211.66, making it the most expensive game on the Predators schedule this season.
With former Predator great Tomas Vokoun scheduled to be in net this Saturday, it’s no surprise that ticket prices have jumped considerably on the secondary market. In fact,Saturday’s game will be the second top-priced game the Predators have played at home since TicketIQ began tracking data in 2010. Only an April 6, 2013 game against the Blackhawks averaged higher at $227.87. Vokoun will make his first return to Nashville since he announced his retirement in December.
For fans hoping to just get past the turnstile, get-in price for Saturday’s game is currently listed at $95. That’s 13.3% more expensive than the season average for Predators tickets, which is $83.85. Simply put, Saturday will be the most anticipated Predators game in recent memory. That is until the team brings its NHL-best record into the postseason later this year.
