As the Wisconsin Badgers football team will soon prepare for the 2015 season, fans of the Badgers football will have to shell out a little more to see Wisconsin play live at Camp Randall Stadium for the upcoming season. According to the school officials, Wisconsin football tickets will be raised $3 dollars per game for 2015, which means tickets are now $48 per game and $336 for their seven game home schedule.
Wisconsin football tickets were ranked no. 11 in 2014 in the Big Ten Conference. The Badgers had a solid season finishing, with a record of 11-3, including 7-1 in Big Ten conference play, winning the Western Division easily. Led by second year head coach Gary Andersen, the Badgers football team had a very one sided offense, as their Heisman Trophy candidate running back, Melvin Gordon, and the running game attributed for 4,482 yards. That more than doubled the total yards of offense gained through the air, which was 2,082 yards.
Due to Melvin Gordon’s sensational rushing season and solid defense, it earned the Badgers a trip to the Big Ten Championship where they were destroyed 59-0 to the eventual national champion Ohio State Buckeyes. Wisconsin ended their season with an Outback Bowl win over the Auburn Tigers.
Heading into the 2015 season, the Badgers will have a lot of new faces coming in as Gary Andersen bolted to Oregon State and the new Head Coach is Paul Chryst. Also gone is running back Melvin Gordon who will enter the 2015 NFL Draft, which will put a lot of pressure on the Badgers passing game that certainly lacks depth right now with the absence of a second threat last season, but their best receiver from 2014 Alex Erickson will return who led the team with 55 receptions last season.
According to TicketIQ, 2015 Wisconsin football tickets at Camp Randall Stadium have a current average price of $215.43 on the secondary market. Currently, five of the Badgers’ home games this year will have tickets on the secondary market an average asking price of over $200, but the most expensive game is an October 3 meeting with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa Wisconsin tickets have a secondary average price of $243.74, a 13.1% premium compared to Wisconsin’s home average. The get-in price for this game is priced at $77.
The most affordable game on Wisconsin’s home football schedule is a September 26 matchup with the Hawaii Warriors. Tickets have an average price of $192.66 on the secondary market, 10.5% below the home average. The get-in price for this game is $50.
