NCAA Tournament Tickets In Portland Least Expensive During First Weekend

The Moda Center in Portland, Oregon will be one of eight hosting venues to Rounds 2 and 3 in this year’s NCAA Tournament, which tips off this Thursday. The arena will welcome West and South regional games through Saturday.

The West will get things started with two afternoon games on Thursday. No. 2 Arizona plays Texas Southern in Game 1 and will be followed by No. 7 VCU and No. 10 Ohio State in Game 2. Thursday evening welcomes the South region, which will see Game 3 be played between No. 5 Utah and No. 12 Stephen F. Austin. Game 4 will see No. 4 Georgetown face No. 13 Eastern Washington.

The winner of Game 1 (Arizona/Texas Southern) will go on to play the winner of Game 2 (VCU/Ohio State) in Round 3 on Saturday. Game 3’s winner (Utah/S.F. Austin) will advance to face Game 4’s winner (Georgetown/Eastern Washington).

An All-Sessions Pass to Rounds 2 and 3 at the Moda Center currently averages at $248.38 on the secondary market, the cheapest average among all eight venues. Session 1 (Arizona vs Texas Southern/Ohio State vs VCU) is also the cheapest session in the tournament involving a No. 1 seed at $109.09. Get-in price for that session starts at $40.

Session 2 (Utah vs S.F. Austin/Georgetown vs East Washington) will be one of just three individual sessions in the tournament that averages below $100. That session owns a secondary average of $93.22 and get-in price is listed for $36. Session 3 tickets see an average secondary price of $183.89 and the cheapest available ticket is $72.

Winners of the two Round 3 games on Saturday will advance to the Sweet 16, which will see the West region play its games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the South play at NRG Stadium in Houston.
