Thursday's Spurs/Cavaliers Game Most Expensive Remaining Game in San Antonio this Season
March 11, 2015
Five months ago, the defending champion San Antonio Spurs didn’t think they’d own the sixth seed in the Western Conference with just 19 games remaining. The dominant play of teams like the Warriors, Grizzlies and Rockets have changed the tides in the conference this season, however, and now the team finds itself clinging to a half-game lead over the Mavericks.
10 home games remain at the AT&T Center this season, and tomorrow’s bout with the Cavaliers will easily be the most expensive on the secondary market. The average price for Spurs vs Cavaliers tickets on TicketIQ is $262.75, marking a 59% increase over the Spurs’ season average of $165.18. Fans won’t get in for cheap, either, as get-in price is currently listed at $77.

The two teams met just once prior to tomorrow night’s game. In their first game on November 19 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, the Spurs pulled out a 92-90 win over the Cavaliers. The stakes are considerably higher for both teams four months later as they fight for postseason positioning.
Following their battle with the Cavaliers, the Spurs host their second most expensive remaining game against the Mavericks on March 27. That game currently owns a secondary average of $223.14, 15% cheaper than tomorrow night’s game, and get-in price starts at $53.
