(UPDATE 3/24) The Staples Center is set to welcome West Regional Sweet 16 games this Thursday. No. 1 Wisconsin will face No. 4 North Carolina in the earlier game and No. 2 Arizona battles No. 6 Xavier later that evening. The average price for Sweet 16 West Regional tickets on TicketIQ is now $316.77, marking a price jump of 9.2% from yesterday’s average of $289.98. The get-in price is currently $115.

(3/23) The Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers are both out of town this week, and the Staples Center will host the NCAA Tournament’s West Regional games on Thursday and Saturday. Sweet 16 games include matchups between No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 4 North Carolina and No. 2 Arizona and No. 6 Xavier on Thursday. Winners will then advance to the Elite Eight game, which will be held on Saturday.
Over the first two games, the average secondary price for Sweet 16 West Regional tickets is $289.98. That’s the second most expensive ticket average among all Sweet 16 regionals, trailing just the Midwest ($439.83). The get-in price to attend both games starts at $112.
Following Thursday’s games, the winners will advance to play on Saturday. The average price for Elite Eight South Regional tickets on TicketIQ is $303.70. The cheapest ticket available for that game is listed for $121. Much like the Sweet 16, the West will own the second highest-priced Elite Eight ticket average and trails just the Midwest ($457.35).

General consensus says that Wisconsin will battle Arizona, but don’t count UNC or Xavier out yet. The Tar Heels have battled past Harvard and Arkansas to advance to the Sweet 16 and will give Wisconsin its most difficult opposition yet. Xavier is the sole Big East team remaining in the tournament and will hope to keep dancing with an upset over Arizona on Thursday.
