(UPDATE 4-24-15) The Ottawa Senators avoided a series sweep after a Game 4 win against the Canadiens at home Wednesday night. The series returns to Montreal’s Bell Centre for Game 5 Friday, and Canadiens vs Senators tickets are increasing in price on the secondary market.

Ticket price is likely rising due to the Canadiens’ ability to clinch as second-round berth at home. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Game 5 Canadiens vs Senators tickets is $370.35, up 8.5% from Monday’s average of $341.30. The get-in price for Friday’s game starts at $197.

Should the series extend to Game 6 and return to Ottawa on Sunday, Senators vs Canadiens tickets currently average at $332.47 and the low price is set at $96.

Montreal is the only team to have won three games thus far, and they’ll look to complete the sweep at the Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday. The average price for Senators playoff tickets to Game 4 is $219.78 on the secondary market. Should the series shift back to the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canadiens playoff tickets for Games 5 and 7 average at $452.44, 8% more expensive than the $418.72 average the Senators will see at home for Games 4 and, if necessary, Game 6.

As the start of the series approaches, prices have dropped slightly for Canadiens playoff tickets. The series average at the Bell Centre is currently $339.92, down 12% from the initial $386.48 average. It will now be less expensive, on average, to see games in Montreal because the price for Senators playoff tickets has skyrocketed. Senators playoff tickets now have an average price of $515.64, up 80% from the initial average of $286.28. The high premium in Ottawa stems from Game 4 with an average price of $512.09 and a potential Game 6 with an average of $711.43.

Ottawa and Montreal last met in the Stanley Cup Playoffs following the 2012-13 season. During that series, the Canadiens were the top seed, but the Senators won the series in five games. Senators playoff tickets had an average price of $328.06 during that series, while Canadiens tickets had an average price of $324.90.
