Ticket Prices for The Replacements' Upcoming Tour Nearing $100 Average on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 4/3/15) Contrary to the band's upcoming tour name, there is a considerable amount of interest to see iconic rock band The Replacements live in-concert this spring. In fact, there's so much demand that the 'Back By Unpopular Demand' Tour is putting up impressive numbers on the secondary ticket market.

According to TicketIQ, the average price for The Replacement tickets on its 13-show tour this April and May is $92. The band's most expensive date will be held at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago on April 30th. The average secondary price for that show is currently $259.42, 182% above tour average, and the get-in price starts at $81. Four other shows on the two-month stretch also average above $100 on the secondary market.

The tour kicks off at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on April 9th. It will across the west coast through the middle of the month before heading to the Midwest. Northeast daes are scheduled through May 9th, when the band wraps at the Festival Pier in Philadelphia.

...
(UPDATE 2/19) The Replacements had two announcements regarding their 2015 North American tour on Wednesday. The first being that a second Los Angeles performance was added, making it a back to back at the Hollywood Palladium on April 15th and 16th.

The second announcement was that Superchunk has been billed as a special guest on the current tour finale in Philadelphia on May 9th. Tickets for the Penn's Landing show currently average $79.21 on the secondary market, making it the cheapest stop on the tour.

(ORIGINAL 2/10) After a string of US performances in 2014, The Replacements have announced a 12 city US tour prior to a number of festival performances this Summer.

The trek kicks off on the west coast at Seattle's Paramount Theatre on April 9th continuing down to Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. They'll then tackle the midwest including Denver, two shows at Chicago's Riviera Theatre, Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Columbus. Two east coast shows in Washington DC and Philadelphia conclude the tour on May 8th and 9th. The band's home state of Minnesota, as well as the New York market are noticeably left absent. These two cities had multiple performances during the 2014 tour however.

The “Bastards Of Young” college rock icons are slated to perform at the Primavera Festival in Spain as well as Paradiso in the Netherlands and London's Roundhouse between late May and early June. Given the success of their 2014 dates which carried a $202 secondary market average, it wouldn't be out of the question to see Paul Westerberg and co. add additional US dates in the summer. For those Minnesota natives who “Can't Hardly Wait” for possible additional dates seeing the band return home, the number of mid-west options should appease the thirst.
