Such a move is being implemented in the hope that more local fans will pack the seats at the Amalie Arena beginning next week. Over the season, upper management has reported big fan turnouts for opposing teams when the Jets, Blackhawks, Canadiens and Red Wings play in Tampa.

Tickets purchased with a credit card must boast a Floridian address or the order will be cancelled and refunded. With tickets going on sale this Friday, the speculative Lightning tickets that exist on the secondary market average at $166.49 over the first round of the playoffs.
