2015 Billboard Music Awards Tickets Averaging $276 Per Seat

May 8, 2015

Some of the biggest names in music will be on hand at the MGM Garden Arena next weekend. The Billboard Music Awards will take place Sunday, May 17 at the Vegas arena. Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen will host the star studded event celebrating the best selling artists in music.

As is the case with music award shows, there will be a number of performances during the night. Sam Smith, Hozier and Nick Jonas are just some announced as performers. Fall Out Boy will also take the stage for a song featuring Wiz Khalifa. Others scheduled to perform are Van Halen, Little Big Town and Faith Hill, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson and Van Halen. Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea will also be debuting a live version of their new song, “Pretty Girls.”

Two of the biggest storylines don’t involve performers during the night’s festivities. One Direction will be making their first award show appearance as a foursome. They will be presenting an award and it will be the first major television appearance for the band without the recently departed Zayn Malik.

Taylor Swift will also take center stage, without actually taking the stage. She will debut the video for her next single off 1989, “Bad Blood.” The video, directed by Joseph Kahn has been teased to include Swift, Lily Aldridge and Zendaya as the video’s main characters. Swift also leads all artists in nominations for the night, 14, including Top Artist.

Billboard Music Awards tickets have a relatively high price on the secondary market. The current average price for the awards show is $275.76 with a get-in price of $102. For the amount of star power that will be in attendance, that could very be worth the price of admission.
