Of Monsters and Men Release New Single, Announce North American Tour

(UPDATE 5/27/15) Icelandic pop rock outfit Of Monsters and Men started the week with a bang, announcing a new song and a full-fledged North American summer tour. The quintet on Monday revealed the lyric video for “Hunger”, the lead single off of its forthcoming album Beneath the Skin, which is slated for release June 9. A 20-show tour between August and October will also take place in the U.S. and Canada in support.

The tour kicks off on August 5 at Grey Eagle Casino and Bingo Event Centre in Calgary, Alberta. It will be the only Canadian date scheduled across the entire tour. It winds through the U.S. until October 17 when it wraps at San Diego’s Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre.

Notable stops along the two-month road stint include Marymoor Park in Seattle, Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, Beacon Theatre in New York City, Masonic Temple in Detroit and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

A special presale code for tour tickets will be sent to all who preorder Beneath the Skin through the band’s official online store. It will be made available through June 4 and general ticket on sale is scheduled for June 5.

Of Monsters and Men Headlining Shows Averaging $85 On Resale Markets

(UPDATE 4/29/15) With a series of headlining dates coming up for Of Monsters and Men, demand on the secondary market has settled around the $85 mark. The cheapest date is currently May 19th at the Roseland Theater with an average price of $56.82 and Get-In Cost of $35. Conversely, one week earlier, May 12th at Chicago's Riviera Theatre is the group's most expensive date at an $103.75 average and $62 get-in price. Additionally, the band will be a part of numerous one-day festivals throughout the country alongside the likes of Hozier, Death Cab For Cutie and Modest Mouse.

Of Monsters and Men Announce 2015 Tour Dates

(3/19/15) Of Monsters and Men released a trifecta on Monday. The band released a new single, a release date for their second album and tour dates. “Crystals” is the lead track from Beneath the Skin, which is scheduled to be released on June 9.

Surrounding the release of the new album, the band will be heading out on a world tour that currently includes 12 dates in 11 North American cities. All 12 dates are currently scheduled prior to the new album’s release date. The tour is set to start in Toronto on May 4 with the last date currently scheduled on June 6 in Mountain View, California.

 

The Icelandic Of Monsters and Men are working off the heels of a successful first album, My Head is an Animal, which peaked at No. 6 on the US charts following its release in 2012. The biggest single, “Little Talks” reached No. 20 on the Billboard Top 200.
